Good performances come up short

Posted: Updated:

SEATTLE (AP) - Many Seahawks played well yesterday. They just
couldn't hold off the Patriots who won 24-21, giving Seattle a
six-game losing streak and a 2-11 record.

Quarterback Seneca Wallace passed for 212 yards and three
touchdowns - two to wide receiver Deion Branch and one to John
Carlson. Branch caught four passes for 88 yards. Carlson caught
eight, tying the team's single season record for a tight end at 46.

The Seahawks play another 2-11 team next Sunday at St. Louis.
