Pasco, WA- Most senior citizens will tell you; it seems colder when you're older.
Today energy specialists with the Franklin Public Utility District visited the Pasco Senior Center to show people how they can make it through this cold weather and still save money on their energy bills.
Victor Hubbard says seniors must realize they're more susceptible to the cold. "Their internal combustion system doesn't work quite as well as when you're younger, and so just wearing sweaters and insulating yourself from the windows and anywhere their might be a draft will help quite a bit."
Hubbard says closing your drapes when the sun isn't shining can help keep the heat in, and he says lowering your thermostat by just one degree will save three percent on the heating portion of your bill.
