Holmgren on Status of Hasselbeck, Hill, Locklear: "Grim, Grim and Grim"

Posted: Updated:

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will
be the emergency third QB again this week, and Seattle Seahawks
fans shouldn't expect linebacker Leroy Hill or offensive left
tackle Sean Locklear to play either.

Asked about their status yesterday, coach Mike Holmgren said,
"Grim, grim and grim."

Also not practicing yesterday at Renton were defensive back
Jordan Babineaux, who got a concussion against the St. Louis Rams
last Sunday, but is expected to play this week; and wide receiver
Koren Robinson, who takes Wednesdays off to rest his chronic knee
problem.

Linebacker D.D. Lewis, who has started the past two games for
Hill, was limited yesterday to give him some rest. So Will Herring
got the majority of snaps with the No. 1 defense this week.

The Seahawks will face the New York Jets Sunday at Qwest Field
in their final home game of the season.
