YAKIMA, Wash. - With one week until Christmas, it is not going to be easy for travelers hoping to book a flight for the holidays, a local travel agency says.
Flights are running full at the moment and even though fewer people are traveling because there are less flights being offered by the airlines.
Rosemary Saunders is with Travel Leaders in Yakima. She says travelers cannot be selective about flights if they still have yet to make a booking.
"The more flexible they are in their departure cities as well as their dates and times, then the better chance they will have of getting a more affordable flight," she said.
Travel Leaders recommends you arrive at least an hour before your flight at the Yakima airport. They also say travelers should remember check out takes longer during the holidays and they need to prepare for bad weather.
When it comes to price, they say don't expect any bargains at this point since flights are mostly full.
