TRI-CITIES, Wash-- It can be very cold brushing the snow off your car, but it's very important. Police want to remind you that it's illegal to drive with snow covering your car.
One driver was pulled over for having snow on his car's roof, lights and hood all. Kennewick Sargent, Ken Lattin, made him get out and wipe all of the snow off.
This can be dangerous because on highways the snow will blow onto other cars' windshields and could cause accidents.
"As a driver if you don't have your windows cleared off, your lights cleared off, people can't see you and can't see your turn signal and can't see you out the back window. It's always best to clear your car completely off get all that snow off there," said Lattin.
Another danger is if snow is on your car and you come to a sudden stop it could fall onto your windshield.
