George Gee Nissan Gives Breast Cancer Patient New Car
PASCO, Wash-- George Gee Nissan in Pasco used all of their Christmas party money to help out two local families in need. With some help from santa they gave presents to all of their children.
One of the mother's has been battling breast cancer and her car just quit on her.
"It started with a lady in our service department that had a car that was un-repairable and we knew she needed a new car so it just kind of built from there," said Chris Hardesty, General Manager at George Gee.
Diane Kempf is battling breast cancer. Each week she needs a reliable car to get to her treatments.
"The cancer societies are probably the nicest places you'll ever go in your whole life," said Kempf.
Kempf's car was on it's last leg and finally broke down. Employees at George Gee wanted to do something about it.
"She has cancer and a couple of kids and she landed on some rough times and we knew we could make her christmas awesome," said Hardesty.
Before they gave her a special Christmas gift, she got something from the cancer society she really liked.
"I just got two new wigs for Christmas. That was my favorite. Alright! like the blonde," said Kempf.
Without any idea, Kempf went outside and everyone at George Gee presented her with a new car. Santa even drove it around to her.
