SNOQUALMIE PASS--The snow is back at Snoqualmie Pass and it was closed late Saturday evening.
There is a blizzard warning in effect until Sunday night for most of the Cascades.
The heavy snowfall and high winds can make it hard to see, making it hard to keep the passes open. Saturday afternoon Meagan McFadden, Wash. Dept. of Transportation, said, "[The weather] is going to create some whiteout conditions. Especially with the 13 - 17 inches of snow; if the visibility becomes really poor, then we may end up closing the pass. For right now it looks like the pass will stay open." Visibility, however, became poor and WSDOT had to close the pass from North Bend to Ellensburg.
