RICHLAND, Wash-- It is the aftermath of a frightening scene for one Richland couple. The two say they were having friends over, when a man they didn't know showed up.
The couple lives on Totten Avenue. It turns out that man, Ronald Johnson, had a felony warrant for his arrest, and a neighbor's tip alerted officers.
Richland Police called everyone out of the house, but Johnson wouldn't leave, forcing officers to call in the SWAT team.
On Sunday, the family was left with a broken home, something they say the city has agreed to help pay for. In the meantime, they're just trying to improvise.
They tell us their biggest concern was the safety of their pets. They also say officers were just doing their job.
