OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The head of Washington's largest state agency is taking a new job with Gov. Chris Gregoire.
Robin Arnold-Williams has been Secretary of the Department of Social and Health Services since early 2005.
In January, she'll take over Gregoire's Executive Policy Office.
Arnold-Williams replaces Laurie Dolan, who announced her retirement last week.
Gregoire says Arnold-Williams will help lead efforts to reform government, in the face of an estimated $5.7 billion budget deficit.
She made about $163,000 annually as DSHS Secretary.
It was not immediately clear what her new salary would be.
Before coming to Washington, Arnold-Williams was Director of Utah's Department of Human Services for eight years.
