PASCO, Wash.-- If you didn't send any packages as of Tuesday, December 23rd., chances are your mail probably won't get there by Christmas day.
The best bet would be to send it on Wednesday with express mail, which is one to two day guaranteed. Or you can try overnight.
If you're opting for UPS it won't get there on Christmas, because they're not working. There will be no refunds if your mail didn't get there on time.
Fedex is somewhat cheaper than UPS, but still you can expect your mail to get there the day after. All this last minute mailing, can also get pretty spendy.
"It can go up to $100 depending on where it's going and what the weight of it is," said Connie Beutler, with the Pasco Post Office.
"It depends on the airlines, the flights that are going out, it depends on if that post office or that hub for the mail processing is a plant," said Beutler.
Of course some other factors are the area and the zip code your mail is going to. If you're planning on sending something overseas, it will take a minimum of seven to ten days to get there.
Staff at the post office say, only express mail is being delivered on Christmas day.
