Santa's Helper Writes Back Letters To Santa in Pasco

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash.-- Many kids have already mailed their letters to Santa, and one of Santa's helpers in Pasco is making sure they get sent back before Christmas.

More than 180 letters have come so far, all addressed to Santa. Santa's helper has been doing it for the past three years.

The letters date back as far as October. This woman says many kids write every year. She tells us what some children are asking for.

"A lot of the kids if they are in need, and they recognize that their families are having hardships, they'll just ask for the general clothes or food for their family, we just got a letter from a child asking for money just so their parents could go bowling as a family," said

Lori says this year the letters didn't just come from the Tri-Cities, but from Walla Walla, Hermiston, and Pendleton.

The post office also picked six families this year, and are helping provide food, clothing, and toys for a better Christmas.

Lori says most of the letters are usually asking about Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the North Pole.
