PASCO, Wash-- The Tri-Cities Airport had a long line Tuesday afternoon. We're told the line was at least an hour's wait. One Horizon Air employee tells us there was one cancelled flight Tuesday morning to Seattle, and almost every Horizon flight is looking at a delay.
In Seattle at the Sea-Tac Airport, things seem to be looking better than it has in days past. There were over a dozen cancellations, most of those coming on Horizon Air.
As for Spokane International, pretty smooth sailing; a couple of cancellations, again on Horizon. But for the most part it does seem to be moving.
And if you're flying out of PDX in Portland, there are dozens of cancellations, nearly 30 coming on Horizon Air.
It has gotten so bad, Horizon Air recommends not coming to the airport before checking your flight's status by going to their website, checking with the Port of Seattle or calling 1-800-547-9308.
As for driving, the WSDOT says Tuesday was the day to go through the passes. Snoqualmie was bare and wet and traffic was moving. As for White Pass, there are no chain requirements, though it is recommended. WSDOT says plan 1-2 hours of extra travel time. For the latest information, just call 5-1-1.
More roadways are opening up, too. I-84, which has been closed since Saturday because of winter weather has reopened.
And finally, buses were hit pretty hard; only one Greyhound bus left the Tri-Cities for Seattle on Tuesday. One employee tells us things are running 30 minutes slower.
