Tri-City Holiday Movie Goers

KENNEWICK, Wash-- Many families have a tradition of going to the movies during the Christmas season. Friday, we talked to some Tri-city Movie goers about what they saw. 

One of the biggest box office hits on Christmas Day was Marley and Me starring Jennifer Aniston. It made almost $15 million yesterday. 

Next was the Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pit. That movie made $11 million on Christmas. 

KNDU  talked to one family Friday that always go to the movies during the holidays. They took their little grandson to see Madagascar Escape 2 Africa.

"We wanted Logan to have a movie to go see. It's the best time of the year to do it," said Steve Tavis, movie goer.

A fun kid movie starring Adam Sandler came out on Christmas called Bedtime Stories. It made more than $10 million. 

Other hits that came out before Christmas were the day the Earth Stood Still and Four Christmases starring Reese Witherspoon.

The manager at Carmike Cinema says  the most popular movie here is Valkyrie and the big actor in the movie is of course Tom Cruise.
