Two Stabbings in Pasco in the First Week of the New Year
PASCO, Wash.-- Another man is stabbed in Pasco over the weekend. It's the second stabbing since the beginning of the new year.
Pasco police say the stabbings are not related to one another. This latest one happened on Saturday at a restaurant, on West Lewis Street in Pasco.
24-year-old Pablo Zamudio was stabbed in the torso and was bleeding when police got there. Zamudio was treated at a nearby hospital for his injuries.
Police arrested 24-year-old Alejandro Ventura-Leon for felony assault. KNDU asked police to tell us the latest about the stabbing at a New Year's Eve party, where 26-year-old Christopher Craig of Seattle was killed. Police say no one has been arrested yet.
"There's circumstances that we continue to investigate as far as what role everybody played, and no one has been identified as a suspect at this time, or pin pointed as the person who caused the individual's death," said Captain Jim Raymond, with the Pasco Police Department.
Over the weekend, the Franklin County Coroner ruled Christopher Craig's death a homicide, but Pasco police say the case is still being considered a death investigation, and not a homicide.
All the information will be forwarded to the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office by the end of the week.
