Posted: Updated:

PENDLETON, Ore.-- Pendleton High School was on lockdown for three hours Monday morning after a bomb threat.

Pendleton police say the threat was called into the school just before 8:00 a.m. Monday.  Students had to stay in their classrooms while police searched the school.  Police found a backpack in a trash can, and the bomb squad checked out the backpack, but it was empty.  Students were allowed to go back to their normal classes just after 11:00 a.m. Monday morning.
