YAKIMA, Wash. - West Valley has been Ram tough on the basketball court this year. The Rams are off to an 8-1 start - the best record in the league. Led by D-I recruit Matt Borton, West Valley hopes for a return trip to state, where they placed seventh last season. "Our goal is to get to the state tournament," said co-head coach Jon Kinloch. "We have two berths out of our region. We're fighting for one of those two spots." This year has already been another fun one. "The greatest part about us is that we're all friends, said Borton. "These are the guys I hang out with even if it's not basketball season. We know each other very well and that's helped us out a lot.
