KENNEWICK, Wash-- Two men are in custody after police say they stole computer parts from one shop in Kennewick. Officers say 20 year-old Michael Woodall and a minor broke into Itsellz on Washington Street and stole hundreds of dollars worth of computer equipment.
The storeowner told police the thief might be a store employee. When officers investigated, they discovered it was.
"The other day he comes in here in the middle of the night, breaks in, steals the exact pieces of equipment he wants," says William Kromm, the store owner. "It's kind of disappointing."
"Obviously when it's an inside job, it's kind of difficult to prevent it," says Kennewick Police Officer Shirrell Veitenheimer. "Employers just need to do a good screening on their employees."
The storeowner tells us the computer that was stolen had all of the company's information on it. Most of the stolen equipment was recovered by police.
