KENNEWICK, Wash. - A man was arrested Monday morning and was taken to jail after Police said he tried to break into a home on the 7200 block of West 11th Avenue in Kennewick.

Police said the victim was in her home when she heard some unusual sounds and at first, she thought it was her cats making noise.

After she opened the blinds to a window on the side of the house, there was apparently a man standing there trying to take the screen off her window.

When he saw the victim he fled on foot.  Police told KNDU that the woman gave an outstanding description of the suspect.

The victim did not want to be identified, but said she was scared.

Monday night 42-year-old James Earl Boggan was in the Benton County Jail on a 72-hour hold for residential burglary.

Police said he's a convicted felon who just got out of prison.
