KENNEWICK, Wash.-- If you're thinking about buying, car dealers say now is the time.
"There are a lot of factory to dealer incentives that make right now the best time to buy a car," said Larry Lambert, General Sales Manager at Overturf Motor Company in Kennewick.
At Overturf Motors in Kennewick the sale experts show us the numbers.
"The price we got it for $39,000 and at this point we're selling it for $30,000, so it's a 7,000, more than $7,000 on the price of this car, so it would be an excellent purchase on this car," said Joe Munoz, a Sales Consultant at Overturf.
At Legacy Ford, a big incentive to buy is employee pricing.
"In the past employee pricing has been like if you work at the dealership you would get the same price as I would pay, right now, you get the same price as someone as if they worked at the plant, and then on top of that there's rebates on say 2008 F-150's, up to $5,000," said Cliff Smith, General Sales Manager at Legacy Ford in Pasco.
And it's the rebates that are making the sales more appealing for buyers.
"If there's a $5,000 rebate you can use that to reduce the price of the car, or the consumer has a choice, they can either take it as cash back and have money to pay off other bills," said Smith.
