Richland, WA- The new Smithsonian exhibit that has just opened in the Tri-Cities is about as American as apple pie.
The exhibit is called Key Ingredients, America by food.
CREHST Education Coordinator Stacia Gunderson says the traveling exhibition looks at the history and traditions of food that helped shape our thoughts and culture. "Ask anybody what their thanksgiving or Christmas traditional dinners are like and everybody's going to have a varying story. The way our parents and grandparents and great grandparents did things shapes who we are through the ages."
The exhibit shows how the food industry has evolved, from the farm to the kitchen, where those great American gizmos slice and dice. The Smithsonian exhibit will be on display at CREHST in Richland through February. Reservations aren't required, but don't be surprised if you leave hungry.
