SPOKANE, WASH. --Four straight wins have put the Gonzaga Bulldogs back into the Associated Press's Top 25. G.U. checks in at #23, 4 spots ahead of #27 and conference foe St. Mary's.
Gonzaga's convincing wins over San Francisco and Santa Clara last week moved G.U.'s record to 3-0 in the West Coast Conference and 12-4 overall.
Micah Downs says winning the rebounding game has helped get the Zags get back on track. He says, "It gives us second opportunies and we get a lot of open 3s. From our offensive rebounding, the pockets collapse and we get guys spotting up. And also in that stretch where we lost some games, we were getting beat on the boards every night. That's one thing we knew we needed to change to make the rest of our season successful."
