What Tri-Citians are Saying About Inauguration

WASHINGTON, D.C.--  Here are samples of what Tri-Citians are saying about Tuesday's historical inauguration.

"It is so crazy, there are so many people and it's just crazy all around," says Brooklynn Watts, a student at Kamiakin High School.  "Even walking back to our bus or walking to another museum, everybody is smushed together, people are pushing each other."

"Pretty chaotic, there are so many people here like it's impossible to walk anywhere down to be close to the mall, those first 3 or 4 blocks there are so many people," says Kameron Guajardo, a student at Columbia Burbank High School.

"Tons of people mainly was all I could see," says Alex Brock, a student at Kamiakin High School.

"There has been National Guard everywhere and the police are going up and down," says Guajardo.

"I just thought that his speech was amazing, it was just so fun to hear, so fun to be there," says Collin Bampton, a student at Kamiakin High School.  "It's going to be something I'll remember forever."

"All the way through people were in incredible spirits," adds Wayne Morris, a father of two.

"It was well worth the trip, it was even better than I expected," says Watts.

"The part for me is my kids really loved it," adds Morris.  "I mean they really loved it.  He is the culmination of the dream Martin Luther King had.  And it's done.  I heard that a number of times.  And it's done.  He is now the president."
