KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police are searching for 3 men who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Police say 3 men walked in to the City Market on the corner of South Rainer Street and 4th Avenue with bandanas around their faces. At least one of the men pulled out what looked like a handgun, then threatened the store clerk and demanded cash.
"There was only one employee in the store at the time, he was given directions and then they took what they did and fled on foot," said Officer Tony Valdez with the Kennewick Police Department.
The men got away with some cash and possibly some other items in the store.
Kennewick Police as well as Benton County Sheriffs Deputies surrounded a five block radius to search for the suspects. Even a k-9 unit was brought in, but the suspects were no where to be found.
Neighbors who live next to the City Market, as well as possible witnesses are talking with police. Police say they do have several leads they're following up on.
