RENTON, Wash. (AP) - The expansion Major League Soccer Sounders have signed defender Taylor Graham to a contract, adding another player from Seattle's former United Soccer League franchise.
The team announced the 28-year-old Graham's signing yesterday, the first day of training camp for the Sounders.
Graham is the fourth player from the USL Sounders to join Seattle's new MLS team. He was twice first-team all-league in the USL and was voted the league's defender of the year in 2005. The others are Sebastien Le Toux, Sanna Nyassi and Chris Eylander.
Graham was the 33rd overall pick of Kansas City in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft and played two seasons with the Wizards. He also spent 2006 and part of 2007 playing with the New York Red Bulls.
