Zags face Pepperdine, Loyola-Marymount this week
      
MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - The Gonzaga Bulldogs are back in the Top
25 of the Associated Press college basketball poll this week after
a two-week absence and they'll go after their fifth straight
victory at 6 tonight against Pepperdine at Malibu, Calif.

It's the start of the Zags' first West Coast Conference road
trip of the season.

Coach Mark Few's 12 and 4 Zags are 24-point favorites over the 4
and 15 Waves. They face Loyola-Marymount at 5 Saturday night in Los
Angeles.

Gonzaga starts this week with a 3-0 WCC record, while Pepperdine
goes into tonight's game with a 1-2 WCC record. Loyola-Marymount
starts this week with a 1-18 record, including 0-3 in WCC play.
      

Huskies, Cougars play at home tonight
      
UNDATED (AP) - Washington and Washington State are at home
tonight in important Pac-10 games, with the Huskies facing USC at
Bank of America Arena at 8 and the Cougars takings on No. 13 UCLA
at Friel Court in Pullman at 6.

Washington has won 11 of its last 12 games and is tied with UCLA
and California for first place in the league race with a 4-1 mark.
The Huskies are favored by 7 points against the Trojans tonight.

Washington State will be seeking to end an eight-game losing
streak against the Bruins. UCLA is a 3 1/2-point favorite tonight.

On Saturday, the Washington schools switch Los Angeles
opponents, with the Huskies going against UCLA at 1 p.m. in Seattle
and the Cougars taking on USC at 3 p.m. in Pullman.
