KENNEWICK, Wash-- A local credit union is using new technology that saves their customers money and is more environmentally friendly.
Nmerica Credit Union is doing paperless mortgages application. Typically a mortgage file will be 300 to 400 pages long. Their new system cuts closing documents down to only 50 sheets.
Through an innovative website credit union members can apply for mortgages online, get rates E-mailed to them, and use financial calculators.
The process is saving Numerica and customers a lot of time and money.
"It makes it very comforting to them and very easy. It's very seamless. It's done really well," said Gina Brown, Kennewick Numerica Branch Manager.
Your mortgage disclosures can be E-mailed to you and electronically signed. The system is called Prime Alliance. The only other credit union in the state that has this is Boeing Employees Credit Union in Seattle.
