PASCO, Wash-- An early morning fire on Fourteenth Avenue in Pasco rips through one family's storage shed. Firefighters say the shed was completely engulfed in flames. In fact, it got so bad, the fire even shot past telephone poles.
It only took crews a few minutes to put of the fire, but investigators say it could have been much worse.
"It was just pure smoke at first and then it just when I woke up everyone it was just spreading even more, faster, faster," says Annabel Garcia who lives at the home.
"The transformer on the pole was actually being impinged by the fire so there's a chance the oil in that could've boiled and come over or actually caught on fire," adds John Blair of the Pasco Fire Department.
Garcia says the family's motorcycle was in the shed, along with a couch and a bed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The family says the shed hasn't been used in days. Firefighters say at this time it doesn't appear suspicious.
