SPOKANE, Wash. -- Austin Daye scored 17 points and No. 20 Gonzaga beat San Diego 64-47 on Saturday to remain unbeaten in the West Coast Conference.
Josh Heytvelt added 13 points for Gonzaga (16-4, 7-0), which has won eight straight games after losing three in a row in late December. This was one of the closer conference games for the Zags, who are beating league foes by an average of 25 points. Danny Brown led San Diego (12-10, 4-3) with 11 points. The Toreros shot just 33 percent in the game and were outrebounded 44-25.
The Zags tied their season low in points scored, and shot only 42 percent against the conference's best defense.
