Associated Press - February 1, 2009 3:55 PM ET

KENT, Wash. (AP) - A convicted crack dealer has been charged with a shooting death in SeaTac.

Prosecutors filed the second-degree murder case Friday against 28-year-old Ahmed Abe "Jungle" Hassan. Police say DNA from a bloody shirt links him to the killing of 18-year-old Ahmed I. Ahmed.

According to witnesses, Hassan confronted Ahmed on Sept. 29 as the younger man sat in the front passenger seat of a car outside the Corinthian Apartments.

Hassan is accused of shooting and hitting the gasoline tank, and leaping into the rear seat as the driver tried to get away. When the car ran out of gas, police wrote, Hassan shot Ahmed and fled.

Hassan was previously convicted of dealing crack cocaine to a Seattle police detective. He remains in jail with bail set at $1 million.
