In these hard economic times, some people are going to great extents to scam others out of their money. Here is a scam to warn you about, especially if you're looking for a job.
Consumer protection and law enforcement groups say there's a number of phony job recruitment sites that are targeting people that need a way to pay the bills.
Some of the unscrupulous sites are asking you to pay up to $200 or more to receive their information... And then never send it.
Experts also say to protect yourself by withholding some personal information on resumes posted on Internet job boards... Including social security and bank account numbers.
And remember if it sounds too good to be true. It probably is.
