Prosecutors Ask for Medical Records in Morales Case
PASCO, Wash. -- One of two brothers accused of murdering a Pasco man in December was in court Thursday.
Ramon Morales, 28, is facing first-degree murder charges for shooting and killing Alfredo Garcia at his home in Pasco on December 10th. Garcia's wife, Maria, was also shot and she is still recovering at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
On Thursday, prosecutors asked for a court order for Maria's medical records. Normally the hospital does not release records until after a patient is discharged. They also asked that Maria and other eyewitnesses only be interviewed once in the pre-trial phases of the case.
Ramon's brother, 25-year-old Jose Morales, was also charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in the case. The eyewitness accounts would be used in both cases.
