KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Police say they are frustrated with people leaving their vehicle motors on and unattended.
Last weekend a couple cars were reported stolen to police. There were two on Wednesday, and one early Thursday morning.
Officers say these types of car thefts are more common in the early morning hours.
On Thursday morning police say they saw a suspected car thief going from house to house looking for their next victim.
"And they're looking for cars that have the exhaust where it's evident, that especially in the cold temperature, you can tell that the car is running," said Sergeant Randy Maynard.
Remember leaving your car running and unattended can land you a ticket.
