KENNEWICK, Wash. - Dozens escape with their lives after a devastating fire sweeps through an apartment complex in Kennewick.
The fire has consumed close to 6 apartments at 632 North Arthur Street across from Kamiakin High School. The fire erupted just after midnight Saturday morning. At least 12 apartments are evacuated at this time. The Red Cross has opened the Kamiakin High School gym with beds and blankets for misplaced victims.
At least one man was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital. Police can't say whether or not anyone died in the fire yet, but are still trying to account for everyone who lived in the apartments.
