KENNEWICK, Wash.-- IHOP is giving out free pancakes as part of their National Pancake Day.
At the IHOP in Kennewick the lunch hour was picking up with extra staff and six cooks. Everyone gets a free short stack of IHOP's buttermilk pancakes.
All donations this year will go to the Children's Miracle Network. So far IHOP has raised nearly $2 million for different charities.
"This is our way to show back to the community, you know we give out free pancakes and ask for a little bit back, and this should go a long way," said Jose Duenas, IHOP General Manager in Kennewick.
"I really think it's a good idea because they can donate money for a good cause," said one customer.
National Pancake Day started back in 2006. The free pancake deal lasts until 10 p.m.
