Washington State beats Arizona 69-53
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Taylor Rochestie scored 17 points last
night as Washington State came back to beat Arizona 69-53 to keep
alive the postseason hopes of the men's basketball team.
Klay Thompson added 16 points and Caleb Forrest 15 for
Washington State, which beat a major opponent for the second
consecutive game. The Cougars upset UCLA on Saturday, winning at
Pauley Pavilion for only the second time in their history.
Washington State opened the second half with a 21-6 run to beat
the Wildcats for only the fourth time in the past 48 games.
The Cougars' next game is tomorrow at home against Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Danielle LeNoir scored 15 points as the
Washington State women's basketball team beat Arizona 63-56 last
night to complete its first Pac-10 sweep of an opponent in eight
The last time Washington State swept a conference foe was Oregon
during the 2000-2001 season.
The Cougars' record is now 11-16, including 4-12 in the Pac-10.
Their next game is tomorrow at Arizona State.
No. 24 Arizona State routs Washington for 13th straight win
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Danielle Orsillo scored 10 points and had
three assists last night to lead No. 24 Arizona State to its 13th
straight win, a 55-32 decision over Washington in women's college
The Huskies are now 6-20, including just 2-14 in the Pac-10.
They have lost 14 of their past 15 games and have lost 20 games in
a season for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
