More than 1,400 Girl Soccer Players in Pasco

PASCO, Wash-- One of the biggest all-girl's soccer tournaments in the state moved to Pasco this year and is taking place Saturday and Sunday at TRAC in Pasco.

For the past six years the Blue Mountain Exchange Soccer Tournament was in Walla Walla, but it has now out-grown itself. They say the TRAC has enough fields to allow all of the teams to play three games at least.
The 70 teams at the tournament are from all over the Northwest including Washington, Canada, Idaho, Montana and Oregon.

"I just think it's great to have people come into the area and get to see the community and support the community, and support the program at Walla Walla Community College," said Chad Bodnar, Girl's Soccer Coach at WWCC.

The tournament raised $7,000 and it went to Walla Walla Community College's soccer program.

On Sunday recruiting scouts from University of Idaho, Montana and Seattle University will be watching the 18 year-old soccer players.
