KENNEWICK, Wash-- About 200 hundred women and a few men got together to make something special for local charities.
Together they made 101 quilts in only five hours. It's the first year that nine combined wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kennewick got together to make the beautiful quilts.
Church members brought in all their own supplies and quilting frames for the big production.
The quilts will go to charities like the Red Cross, Project Linus, and Safe Harbor Nursery. They say hand made quilts are warmer and more sentimental than just regular blankets
