Weather Authority Update for Friday, May 24th @ 4:30 am
Good morning!
The low pressure system that shifted towards Portland yesterday is now moving back to our region. Rain showers are possible for most of the morning and early afternoon with thunderstorms that might break out into the afternoon.
Daytime highs continue to run cooler than normal BUT are slowly improving. Today, we'll reach the mid to high 60s with winds that will increase ahead of the entrance of the wet weather. Expect winds from 5 to 15 miles per hour near the surface with gusts along the WA/OR border that might push close to 35 mph.
We'll start to clear out and warm back to normal this weekend but will run a slight chance for showers into Memorial Day on Monday; keep the rain gear at the ready...just in case.
Have a great day and an even better weekend!
