Madeline isn’t just a morning person.  She’s an all-the-time person!  Whether it's a 1:00am wakeup call or a late night workout session, she always has a smile on her face.

Madeline’s enthusiasm for life stems from her love of people.  She enjoys meeting new people and engaging in deep conversations.  Her desire to connect with the community is what calls Madeline to her profession.  She hopes to serve as an encouraging, informative voice for the Tri-Cities community.

Madeline comes to the Tri-Cities all the way from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended college.  She recently earned her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Mass Communications at Baldwin Wallace University.

She first discovered her passion for broadcasting in college while working as the News Director and Radio DJ for WBWC 88.3FM.  Her work as the News Director qualified her as a finalist for “Best News Promotion” at the 2017 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards in New York City.

Most recently, Madeline interned at Cleveland’s own WJW Fox 8 News and her hometown TV and radio stations: WMFD-TV and Mix 106.1FM in Mansfield.  In addition to her internship experience, Madeline credits her participation in the Miss America Organization as the foundation for her personal and professional development.  She placed 1st Runner Up in the 2018 Miss Ohio Scholarship Program as the recipient of the Interview, Talent, People’s Choice, and Americanism Essay Awards.

Outside of work, Madeline enjoys supporting the performing arts.  She not only uses her voice to read the news, but also to sing!  If she isn’t singing or dancing, she is probably at the gym or has her nose in a good book.

Madeline is honored to start your day as a weekday Morning Anchor/Reporter on Wakeup Northwest.  You can stay up-to-date with Madeline on social media through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.  She wants to get to know you - reach out to her on social media or send an email to madeline.carter@nbcrightnow.com.
