Car Chase Leads to Arrest and Drug Seizure

PASCO, WA- Sunday turned into an almost all day police chase and it all started when officers got a call of a stolen gun. When officers showed up to the home someone pulled out of the driveway in a four door black Saturn very quickly and officers followed the vehicle. The driver did not stop and police followed them for about 10 to 15 blocks.

The driver hit a parked car near 17 and Yakima Street, jumped out and ran. We talked with Pasco Police Sergeant Rodrigo Pruneda and he told us, "witnesses said that the person that fled the vehicle jumped the fence in a nearby house we surrounded the block and the area and called for K-9 assist and Benton County K-9 team came over to help us search"

Sergeant Pruneda tells us they searched two homes looking for the suspect and at the second home, they arrested 20-year-old Geovanny Blanco for multiple outstanding warrants. At this time they cannot connect him to the initial chase earlier today, although Blanco was involved in a high speed chase just one week ago.

While searching the second home they also found a large amount of meth inside and took that as well. Sergeant Pruneda also tells us this is an ongoing investigation.
