YAKIMA, WA. -- Fire crews continue to investigate a house fire that damaged a home on Spokane Street in Yakima late Sunday night.
It was initially believed to be suspicious but has now been downgraded to "undetermined".
Next door neighbors were afraid the fire might grow.
"We were worried about maybe the fire is going to jump or something," neighbor Ken Washburn said. "You never know because it was a pretty good size fire coming out of there. So we just stayed outside until it was all done."
The home was being remodeled and left vacant at the time. Fire crews say the blaze caused more than $80,000 worth of damage.
