Energy Northwest Brings Holiday Cheer To Low-Income Kids

RICHLAND, WA - Not every child has presents waiting under the Christmas tree for them this season.

At Head Start, more than 400 kids adopted by Energy Northwest were given a holiday surprise Wednesday. Santa Clause came with toys and clothes for the kids this morning. The kids posed for pictures and even prepared songs, drawings and holiday cards for the big jolly guy.

"There's lots of singing. They make cards for Santa and sang him songs and they danced for him so it was really nice," said Head Start Chair Nicolle Larson.

"These kids that maybe wouldn't get these gifts otherwise...we can supply those for them so it's really heart warming," said Santa himself.

For more than three decades, Energy Northwest has helped make Christmas brighter for more than 11,000 children and their low-income families.
