GRANDVIEW, WA - Grandview Police are investigating the shooting of a 45-year-old man which may be gang-related.
Just after 6:00 p.m. last night, police responded to Puterbaugh Road and W. 5th Street to reports of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found the victim at a nearby house with a gunshot would in the arm.
Residents say they haven't seen any suspicious activities and that it's a safe and calm area.
"Me, not personally," said Mario Mendoza when asked if he saw anything suspicious. "As you can see, I'm out here with the kids walking around. as far as anything that I've seen; no, not personally."
Police say it appears that the suspect was in his car and fired shots at the victim's vehicle.
Grandview Police Chief Kal Fuller says crimes like these are unusual in the area and they are taking the case very seriously because they work hard to keep the town a safe place to live.

GRANDVIEW, WA - Grandview Police are asking the public for help gathering information about a shooting. Police tell us it happened around 6:00 Tuesday night.
Police responded to the area of West 5th Street and Puterbaugh Road for reports of multiple gunshots and a man with a gunshot wound. Police found the victim and a witness at a nearby home. Medics took the 45-year-old man to Kadlec with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers are still investigating but they are considering this to be gang related.
Sunnyside, Prosser, and Richland Police, Yakima County Sheriff's Office, and Washington State Patrol all helped with the investigation.
