YAKIMA, Wash. - Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences is working to support local children with special healthcare needs.
More than 600 runners and volunteers took to the streets of downtown Yakima for the PNWU "Run for your Life" event, raising money for Children's Village and spreading the word about good health.
On Tuesday, the students at PNWU will present a $10,000 check to Children's Village to support services and programs.
Children's Village plans to thank the students and their university with a personalized fruit box label. The group creates the labels to recognize donors who've made significant contributions to the expansion of Children's Village.
