Man in critical condition after shooting near Sunshine Motel

PASCO, WA- Pasco Police have arrested two juveniles after a shots fired call on Tuesday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses gave Pasco High School Resource Officer, Sam Baker, specific details on the two suspects.  Officers say the two 14-year-old suspects produced a pistol during an argument with a third 16-year-old male and fired it twice.

Street Crimes detectives and patrol officers converged on the area near 19th Avenue and Court Street where they found the two suspects. A 9mm semi-automatic pistol was recovered nearby.

The 16-year-old apparent victim is known but was not immediately located. There are indications that some of the kids involved are gang-related but it is unknown if the shooting was gang-motivated.

The 14-year-olds were booked into Juvenile Detention for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and the one pointed out as the shooter was also booked for Unlawful Discharge. This investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is urged to call Pasco Police Department at (509) 545-3421.
