UPDATE: WALLA WALLA, WA - A man affiliated with a local Walla Walla gang has been sentenced to over 29 years in prison for killing one man and wounding another in a shooting outside a tavern last year.
Superior Court Judge John Lohrmann sentenced 26-year-old Roberto Arroyo on Monday.
Prosecutors say Arroyo fatally shot Juan Pedro Martinez and injured Andrew Solis, who had previous ties to a gang, on Oct. 24.
Arroyo pleaded guilty to murder and assault in March as part of a plea deal.
The sentence includes three years in prison for a firearm enhancement. In court, Arroyo shouted obscenities at the judge, police officers and others and was removed for a time before being brought back to finish sentencing.
Four men have been charged with murder in a gang-related shooting that left one man dead and wounded another outside a tavern in Walla Walla.
Emanuel A. Pantaleon, brothers Birzavit Carmona-Hernandez and Antonio Carmona-Hernandez and Roberto R. Arroyo were charged Monday in Superior Court with murder, assault and intimidating a witness.
The men are local gang members with bail set at $500,000 apiece.
Officials haven't said who fired the shots that killed Juan Pedro Martinez and wounded Andrew Solis Saturday night.
Police say Solis had cut ties with the gang after testifying at a murder trial of a fellow member and could have been seen by them as betraying its code of silence.
Martinez reportedly had no gang affiliation.
The Walla Walla County Coroner's Office says an autopsy has been completed on Juan Pedro-Martinez. It revealed the cause of death was a single gunshot wound. The manner of death is homicide.
One person is dead and another in stable condition after a shooting in the back parking lot of the Green Lantern Tavern in Walla Walla Saturday night.
