Yakima Fire Dept. raising money for Red Cross

YAKIMA, Wash.-- The 17th Annual Yakima Fire Department Spaghetti Feed is happening Wednesday.

It goes from 4pm to 7:30pm at Station 91.

Firefighters will be serving up plates of pasta, salad, and even pie to raise money for the Yakima chapter of the American Red Cross.

All the money raised stays in the Yakima Valley to help people in their time of need.

"All the money stays with them so they can support the community in major events like what happened earlier this year in Ellensburg and Yakima and all those different areas throughout the valley. So yes, it's extremely important," said Capt. Brandon Dorenbush with Yakima fire.

Dinner is $7.50 for adults and $5 for kids and seniors, but again, all the money goes to a great cause.
