According to the Richland Police Department, they were investigating a stolen property case at a motel on Saturday. When they left, motel staff called and alerted Richland PD that the suspect had returned.
Police say they returned and located the vehicle at Howard Amon Park, briefly attempting a traffic stop. The suspect fled onto George Washington Way at a high speed and the car wrecked at The Parkway across from Howard Amon Park.
RPD says the suspect fled on foot and was arrested near Lee Boulevard.
