back pain

CANADA - Nearly half (45 percent) of adults experience some type of back pain.

That's according to a new Canadian study of nearly 13,000 people.

One in five reported constant pain, and one in three developed back pain over time.

Both of these groups tended to have more disability, depression, and medication use than those with occasional pain.

One in five people with back painĀ didĀ recover, but many continued to use opioids.
