RICHLAND, WA - The Spokane Shriners Hospital for children now has an expert orthopedic team here in the Tri-Cities.
Friday they held a grand opening for their satellite clinic at the Northwest Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic on 875 Swift Boulevard in Richland.
The goal is to help kids in the Tri-Cities get the same expert medical treatment as they can in Spokane.
Jack Waters from Northwest Orthopedic and Sports Medicine said "Shriners was good enough to get a team of pediatric orthopedic physicians and staff who agreed to come once a month to the community. So our patients and family aren't driving all the time back and forth to Spokane."
Kids under the age of 18 can be treated for anything from serious orthopedic issues to simple fractures or sports injuries.
